Charles Sturt University continues to work with six international students about appropriate accommodation after the university discovered they were sleeping overnight on campus.

CSU Deputy Vice-Chancellor Jenny Roberts said the university had been made aware that six of its international students at Port Macquarie were having difficulty finding suitable accommodation in the town.
“CSU staff contacted the students last week when the university discovered they were sleeping overnight in one of the campus’ 24-hour learning facilities,” she said.
“The students were offered a range of accommodation options which are available through CSU in Port Macquarie.”
This included immediate and short-term accommodation which the students chose not to accept.
CSU, through its Division of Students Services, has dedicated staff to assist international students including with their arrival to Australia, adjusting to study in Australia, accommodation and financial aid.
“University staff will continue to support these students to ensure they have adequate and suitable accommodation to support them in their studies,” Ms Roberts said.
Students are urged to make use of accommodation and general support services by emailing international@csu.edu.au or visit the student liaison officer (international) at CSU in Port Macquarie.
