For the next four days, the best players from around the state will compete for their region where they work in the force.
An entertaining afternoon kicked off with Eastern Suburbs Wombats proving too good for the Bankstown Giants 18-6.
Local hopes the Country North Kangaroos were doing it tough early in their match against the Parramatta Eels, where they trailed 16-0 at halftime.
The Kangaroos local representation came in the form of second-rower Bobby Davidson who had previously coached the Port Macquarie Sharks reserve grade team.
The action continues tomorrow at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm at Regional Stadium.
