Student and staff at Hastings Secondary College Westport Campus were evacuated twice this week due to bomb threats.

On social media on March 15, Hastings Secondary College confirmed the threats were taken seriously by staff.
The post read “This morning Westport Campus has received threatening phone calls to staff and students. As per guidelines the school has been evacuated.”
A spokesperson for the NSW Department of Education acknowledged the threat.
“Following threats made the school has implemented its emergency management procedures. The safety and wellbeing of students and staff are the school’s highest priority.”
NSW Police said officers were called and carried out searches.
“Emergency services were called to the school. Officers from Mid North Coast Police Area Command attended the location and commenced a search however, nothing was located,” a spokesperson said.
Police are investigating.
