All current and past players are invited to attend to enjoy the golf, renew old friendships and reminisce about the good old days.
Club president Tony Carroll said during its existence the club has donated to various causes from funds raised through a weekly meat tray raffle.
The raffle is on at the hotel each Thursday evening.
Mr Carroll said the practice of donating to the community continues.
“The club has committed to annual donations to the five local schools in the Camden Haven area and to the Palliative Care Unit at Wauchope Hospital,” he said.
In 2017 the memory of popular Bonny Hills man Mick Kennedy was honoured through a donation to Wauchope Palliative Care Unit.
President Tony Carroll said Mick’s fellow social golf club members had no hesitation supporting the service.
“We wanted to express our gratitude for how well Mick was treated, and we intend to make the donation an annual gift in memory of him,” he said.
It is estimated that the club would have about 100 life members with life membership having been bestowed on all members over the years, who qualified by the purchase of a club shirt.
The club wants to see as many people as possible participate at the event on Sunday, May 27 wearing their shirts.
The cost for the day for 18 holes of golf and a sausage sizzle is $10.
The cost for other golfers who have enjoyed previous golf excursions arranged by the hotel but are not members of the social club will be $25.
Those who require a cart should advise Tony Carroll by April 30 as the number of carts available is limited.
Hire of carts will be at the players own expense.
To enable for catering on the day interested players should call Tony Carroll (65854936 or 0400 411 432) or Paul Potts (65863224 or 0418 254 001) by May 21.
