Saturday, March 17 will soon be upon us and with it, the McGrath March Auction Event.
This time they’re hosting the event at the beautiful Boathouse Restaurant, in the recently-refurbished Sails Resort.
They’ll be auctioning a variety of local homes, large and small; all at one venue, all in one afternoon, with formalities to commence promptly at 2.00pm.
But it’s not only about the properties; to get matters underway they’ll have a charity auction.
As part of their community kickbacks program, the locals at Rebel Sport have donated a “Foosball” Table – a fun game for the whole family – and the proceeds from its auction will go directly to Camp Quality.
Then, to conclude the afternoon, they’ll be auctioning a coveted gift certificate, donated by Sails Resort Port Macquarie.
The winning bidder will receive a night for two in an Executive Suite, including dinner for two at the Boathouse Bar and Restaurant plus full buffet breakfast for two; a fabulous gesture by Sails and again, all proceeds will go to Camp Quality.
“Whether you’re looking to buy a new home, a new investment, or simply monitoring the local market, we’d love you to join us on March 17,” says McGrath’s Principal, Todd Bates.
“Complimentary refreshments will be available upon arrival and we really look forward to catching up with you there.”
Camp Qualilty
So who are Camp Quality and why is supporting them so vital?
Camp Quality is a registered, not-for-profit, children’s cancer charity which has been operating in Australia since 1983.
They believe every Australian child impacted by cancer should have every opportunity to thrive and they do this by providing innovative programs and services to develop life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of children aged 0 – 13 growing up with cancer, and their families.
Camp Quality supports children impacted by cancer – be that their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of someone they love (parent, carer or sibling).
They are there for children and their families from the first experience of cancer through every stage, from treatment to remission and in the case of bereavement - in hospital, at home, at school and away from it.
Here laughter is the best medicine. They believe laughter and optimism are essential to help the kids and their families not only cope, but thrive.
