Having had the opportunity to meet the recipients of the Council Grants Program and listen to their stories and challenges, I’ve seen firsthand how much these grants make a real difference within our community.
From creating events that celebrate our rich local heritage, to building a program that helps bring members of our community closer together, there’s a category for everyone, and now’s the time to think about how a Council grant can help you.

Bowling for a cause
The 12th Annual Mayor’s Sporting Fund Bowls Challenge is coming up, with registrations open for teams to compete for the coveted title on Friday, March 23 at Port City Bowling Club.
The afternoon of fun is open to all, from beginners to bowling die-hards and is a great opportunity for businesses and individuals to enjoy a fun day on the greens, whilst raising funds for our up and coming local sports stars.
The action gets rolling from 12pm, with bowling beginning at 1pm.
Great prizes are up for grabs in a number of novelty events including best dressed team, best looking toes and fanciest feet.
A team of 4 players is $120 and registrations close Tuesday, March 20.
It’s going to be great fun for a great cause, so pull out the fancy dress, paint those toes and register your team at pmhc.nsw.gov.au/sportingfundbowlsday.
