The event was to raise vital funds to help the organisation keep people safe on the water.
Held at the Port Macquarie Golf Club the two competitions, a professional round in the morning before an amateur round in the afternoon followed by an auction, was supported by more than 140 people.
It was organised by Marine Rescue volunteer Christine Dickson. She said it was a fantastic day in which they hope close to $10,000 will be raised, with the final count of moneys raised to come later in the week.
“We have a real good turn out, with plenty in the morning and more than 140 in the afternoon,” she said from the golf course while play was still going.
“Everyone has had a great time. The weather has been very nice, but the clouds started building up in the afternoon.
“I’d like to say thank you to all of the people who came along to play and to support Marine Rescue.”
