They will receive $5,000 each as recipients of the Jim Bruce Trust Travelling Scholarship. The grant will help them attend the Australian and New Zealand Urology Nurses Society annual meeting in Melbourne on February 24 to 27.
This is held in conjunction with the Urology Society annual meeting, where the latest advances in the field of urology are presented and discussed by an impressive international and national faculty.
The three experts are critical in the preparation and execution of every operating list, ensuring that the highly sophisticated equipment is in top shape and ready for use.
They have very specific skills that help the surgeons complete delicate and complex surgery.
Jenny Eichorn, Clinical Nurse Specialist said they were grateful for the opportunity.
“These meetings are an amazing way to update your knowledge and skills, but are usually so expensive to attend. These grants make all the difference,” she said.
Their attendance helps ensure that the people of this region have the very latest in the field of urology.
