Annaliese Cains was presented the junior secondary school SCAS Award while Jane Whalen was the secondary school winner.
The SCAS Award - which covers service/spiritual, cultural academic sports - is considered the highest honour attainable at St Columba Anglican School, and recognises students who have attained all round excellence.
Both students were former school captains at the Port Adventist School.
Annaliese, a year 9 student, was acknowledged for her many achievements as a scholar, an athlete and as a pillar of the cultural and performing arts community.
Her 'humble grace' was also one of her outstanding hallmarks, her citation read.
"Annaliese enjoys academic success across an eclectic array of subjects. She has shown outstanding commitment to the school's co-curricular program and is variously involved in the senior choir, secondary chamber choir, the string orchestra, Duke of Edinburgh bronze award and the Da Vinci decathlon.
"The winner has represented the school in a myriad of individual and team sporting events including SCAS futsal, the NSW volleyball schools cup, at HRIS level in tennis, at AICES and CIS level for football and athletics, in the NSW All Schools for cross country and triathlon, and as a member of the ITAP athlete program."
Jane Whalen, a year 12 student, was described as a 'quiet achiever', 'modest' and 'unassuming' in her citation.
"Jane has been involved in every aspect of school life, academic, sporting, cultural and service.
"Rarely does an activity take place at school where Jane isn't involved, either directly as an organiser or indirectly as a volunteer assistant.
"Jane has contributed significantly to the sense of community across the school from stage one primary to senior secondary.
"She is best described as a dedicated scholar with an exceptional work ethic, a quiet achiever who has earned the esteem and respect of her peers and teachers alike."
The awards were presented by Reverend Canon Dr John Barrett OAM, Chair of the St Columba Anglican School Council.
