And all in the name of a good cause.
Bunnings Port Macquarie hosted its annual fundraising barbeque for rural fire service on Saturday.
Hundreds of people took advantage of the fundraising effort to also inspect a display of appliances the service volunteers utilise in their efforts within the community.
Bunnings Port Macquarie manager Jacob Andriessen said the day was a great way to show their appreciation for the service.
“This was a terrific way for team members and all Australians to show their appreciation for these everyday heroes and the important work they carry out by on a day to day basis,” he said.
“The team had a great time manning the barbeque and doing their bit to help raise funds and awareness at such a critical time of year for NSW RFS.”
All funds raised on the day will go directly to support Port Macquarie Hastings Mid Coast Brigade.
