There was lots to see as approximately 245 competitors took to the sand and surf – including 130 from Port Macquarie – ranging from under 8s through to seniors.
Club’s represented included Port Macquarie (Flynn’s), Tacking point (Lighthouse), Kempsey-Crescent Head, South West Rocks, Hat Head, Camden Haven and Wauchope-Bonny Hills.
Ranging from under 8s to 79 year olds, the Saturday beach events (sprints, flags and beach relay) were a huge success. On Sunday in the water, another 260-odd competitors enjoyed the beautiful conditions.
Surf conditions were perfect, providing the competitors with a good size swell. It meant the athletes could use their surf skills in the swim and craft which provided some exciting racing.
