Anthony Baxter has really found his niche in the music world over the past 12 months. And he has eight shows at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Winning the Clarence Valley Muster walk-up at Ulmarra in October meant a $2000 recording contract at Lindsay Waddington studios.
Anthony has also been very active over the past few months - he was nominated as a finalist in the Gold Medallion Media Award for the Musician of the Year competition which will be announced during the Tamworth Country Music Festival which continues until January 28.
The talented young player is also a finalist in the Stan Coster Memorial Award for Duo of the Year.
“It’s been an amazing few months,” Anthony said.
“And I’m really looking forward to Tamworth. It will be wonderful to experience the atmosphere, and I’m delighted to have been nominated for two awards.”
He also has performances lined up in Kempsey in February, Cessnock in March, Nabiac and Kempsey in April and Bundaberg in Queensland in May where he will perform for seven days for the Coads Country Muster.
He has more gigs lined up during the rest of the year.
