It's a handicap event that all the family can be part of and it’s the club’s major fundraiser this season, making swimming affordable.
“Teams of four from your workplace, club, gym or school can join the fun,” said Leisa Ferguson from Wauchope Swimming Club.
“Your first swim of the night will be your ‘entry time’, and you can swim, dog-paddle or use any aid you like. As long as you swim close to your nominated time, you may come out a winner.
Come and swim in flippers, full scuba gear or pink fairy outfits.

“So come and swim in flippers, full scuba gear or pink fairy outfits....gather your team and come along. There’s a Dash for $100 voucher for the King and Queen of the pool for the fastest 50m dash,” said Leisa.
There will raffles, BBQ hot food and drinks available on the night, and entry forms are available at Wauchope pool.
“We want to thank the Hastings Co-op, which is our major sponsor and they also sponsor our shirts,” said Kelly Newell from the club. She says members are delighted with the pool upgrade; the water is now considerably warmer at the start of the season.
The club isn’t strict about strokes – young swimmers can just come along on Tuesday nights, get in and have a go at all levels. It’s all about trying, and having fun.
Team entry fees for the business relay event are $60, or $50 early bird by February 1, or $40 for teams of club members, or teams of school kids. The Dash for Cash fee is $10 and entrants must be in a relay team.
