Koala sculpture trail walk
With more than 60 large-scale koala sculptures, hand-painted and decorated by celebrity artists, professional artists and community groups, why not spend your day seeking out all of the koalas on the Hello Koala Sculpture Trail.
The trail encompasses the entire of the Hastings, from Comboyne through to Wauchope, Bonny Hills and Laurieton as well as koalas all over Port Macquarie.
All the koalas have a special name and a story behind them, so discover the hidden gems in the Hastings.

The Port Macquarie library is full of fun things for the whole family to enjoy, from books, magazines and newspapers, to games, the Imaginarium, computers and so much more, now is the time to head inside and discover the fabulous things on offer.
Koala Hospital
The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital is a great way to get an up close and personal look at how our wonderful koalas are cared for and looked after when they become sick or injured.
The fully capable hospital allows for local koalas who need short term or long term care and give tourists and locals an insight into what it takes to keep out native wildlife alive and healthy.
At the hospital you will also have the opportunity to see a number of koalas on display in their natural habitat.
Roto House
From the moment you pass the picket fence and enter Roto House, you will feel as though you've stepped back in time.
Passing inside the front door you will enter the hallway decorated with lamps suspended from the ceiling.
Built by surveyor John Flynn in 1891, the 11 room house constructed was occupied by his family right up until 1979.
It's still lovingly maintained by the National Parks and Wildlife Service to this day and a great day out for the family.
Museums
Port Macquarie is a historical town and with museums a plenty, history buffs can easily spend their days exploring all our wonderful museums have to offer.
From the volunteer run Port Macquarie Museum to the Maritime Museum there is something for everyone.
Sea Acres rainforest walk
If a rain forest walk is more your style, consider doing the sea acres boardwalk.
Rising seven metres through the forest the boardwalk provides the perfect platform from which to experience the busy rainforest habitat.
Setting out from Sea Acres Rainforest Centre, you will see rainforest birds, feeding and nesting in tree branches as well as potentially goannas and the slithering diamond python.
