I am currently re-establishing St John Ambulance Event Health Services based in Port Macquarie. The previous Port Macquarie division went into recess about fourteen years ago. During this last fourteen years, the Manning division and later the renamed Mid Coast combined division has serviced many of the Event Health Service needs of the Port Macquarie-Hastings area.

Anyone who is interested in joining St John may submit an expression of interest in doing so by completing and submitting the form at www.stjohnnsw.com.au/apply. I anticipate that training and meetings would commence late February 2018. It is not necessary to have a current First Aid competency, your application would be processed as Non-Clinical until you could be put through an internal course to upgrade and formalise First Aid skills.
As a member of St John NSW Event Health Services, there are opportunities to attend events such as the V8 Supercars, Tamworth Country Music Festival, City to Surf and a myriad of Local and State level activities.
Training is provided in first aid to Certificate III in Basic Health Care (HLT31215), for Graduates of the Paramedical Science Degree who are not currently employed in that field St John NSW offers an EMT program which allows maintenance of current skills and increasing the skill set.
