Police have located human remains in bushland in the Southern Highlands, believed to be those of a 52-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in Mittagong in June of this year.

The skeletal remains have not yet been formally identified, but NSW police said a post mortem examination will be conducted in coming days to determine an identity and cause of death.
A member of the public discovered the remains in bushland north of Lake Alexandra, at about 2pm on Saturday before contacting police.
Police are still investigating the circumstances which lead to the death and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Kathleen Lidden, 52, was reported missing by her family on June 14 when she didn't return home after leaving on foot the day before.
Mrs Lidden was last seen at about 12.30pm on June 13 at Mittagong Shopping Village, where she was captured on CCTV footage.
She did not take any personal belongings with her and her behaviour was considered to be out of character.
Police from the Hume Local Area Command established Strike Force Aeons to investigate Mrs Lidden's disappearance.
Earlier this year, searches were conducted in the Mount Gibraltar bushland area and the Lake Alexandra area, while the Mittagong Central Business District was also canvassed.
