The best waterskiers from around Australia converged on the lake for the final round of the year.
All points scored from the weekend contributed to overall world rankings.
Event director Cole Kalkbrenner said conditions for the two-day event were almost perfect for those on the water.
“Brad is definitely a talented waterskier from Queensland and has had the current record which he broke about a month ago,” he said.
“We knew he had the potential, but just to get that extra half a buoy to set the record is pushing his other records a bit further down the line.”
Williams set a new mark of two and a half buoys at the 10.75-metre line and pending a final view of the run, it will remain as a new Australian record.
“There is a committee that looks at things like if the boat driving is right and the rope is measured properly,” Kalkbrenner said.
“It goes through a process and hopefully everything will go through and he’ll get another stripe on his sleeve.”
Not only did Williams set a new mark, but personal bests were also achieved by Archie Davis (slalom) and Matt Brown (slalom and jump).
Sierra Nowlan also equalled her personal best.
“The proof is in the pudding and when the records keep falling, they fall here,” Kalkbrenner said.
“It’s a testament to all the hard work of all the judges and officials and the Stone family.
“This is not only a premier water sports facility in Australia, but in the world so people don’t realise how lucky we’ve got it here.”
Organisers will have a few months off before waterskiing action returns to Stoney Park in late February.
“You can tell the skiers feed off each other and when the good numbers start happening it’s a bit like blood in the water,” Kalkbrenner said.
