The students, ranging in age from teenagers to mid 20’s, come away with a certificate two in business and foundational skills and the confidence to believe in themselves, according to life coach and mentor Andrew Lord.
“It has been fantastic to see these young people make their own journey to self belief and watching them grow into confident young people ready to take on the world.
“The Young Entrepreneur program was a pilot program this year and after the success we have had I think we are hoping to do it again next year,” Mr Lord said.
The six month course teaches young people the foundational skills of running a business and explores personal growth as well.
At the final session students pitched their ideas for a business to the audience which ranged from a weapons cos play designer to a car detailing service, travel website, book cafe and creative music camp.
“The program came out of the Luminosity Conference and with my passion for project based learning I think it was a great way for those who went to the conference to build on that they saw and were inspired to achieve,” he said.
All the students commented on how much they had changed over the course of the program and said they leave the course with a new sense of confidence.
