The couple who took it over and ran it for most of this year, Lisa Thornton and Glenn Oxspring, have put it on the market.
Before that, the former Blue Poles cafe in Byabarra was bought in September 2016 by a Melbourne couple, Tara and Brad Wallis who wanted a tree change for their family.
Real estate agent, Marc Minor from Harcourts in Wauchope says the recent owners have made significant improvements to the property.
“But as they have other business interests in Queensland and also a young family, they were no longer able to continue with the effort required to that the growth of the business demanded. So now it is for sale,” he said.
Mr Minor said they do have interest from Sydney and locally.
“We are keen to encourage anybody with a love of food and in particular the ‘paddock to plate’ concept to get in touch with us to find out more about this special opportunity,” said Mr Minor.
As well as the cafe and bakehouse, there is a self-contained studio B&B and a swimming pool.
The price is $885,000.
