The Wauchope Community Christmas event was made extra special with the lighting of the town’s first Christmas tree.
The Wauchope Chamber of Commerce and Industry said they were delighted to announce the lighting of the tree as a new addition to the night.
The tree is located near the mural wall at Bain Park and will stay lit until after Christmas night to give everyone a chance to enjoy it.
Local performers entertained on December 9 and Sing Australia Wauchope accompanied by the Hastings Municipal Band led the carols.
There was also face painting, a jumping castle, cookie decorating and a special visit from Santa.
