Costa will be in town on Tuesday, December 12, for the whole day where he will officially open the school’s sensory garden.
The garden will add to the learning capabilities of students at the school. Features include a sensory trail constructed from various materials that is part of the larger pathway system with no dead ends, and is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
The school will host an extraordinary assembly from 9am, before Costa officially opens the garden and works alongside the kids.
Afterwards, Costa hopes to aid other community organisations, such as the Friends of Mrs York’s Garden, and the Lost Plot community garden. Kindergarten and year one students from the school created a gorgeous video with the help of the Port News, which convinced Costa to visit.
