It is time to don your Christmas cheer and support those living with a disability by coming and letting your hair down at the 2017 House with No Steps/ NewIDAFE Christmas Fancy Dress Ball on December 16.
Peter Jenkins, area manager from House with No Steps said that the ball is a collaboration with House with No Steps and NewIDAFE Port Macquarie.
“The ball, at Port Panthers, is a community inclusive event, and is about everyone coming together equally and spreading cheer in the lead up to Christmas.
“The night is for people with a disability, their family, friends, careers and the community. We have great prizes on offer for the best dressed in Christmas clothes,” Mr Jenkins said.
The ball, in its second year is a way for everyone to let their hair down and just enjoy the holiday period.
“Living with a disability can have its challenges, but the ball is a great way for everyone to relax, let their hair down and have fun in the lead up to Christmas.
“The ball is a highlight of the year for many people. The joy and happiness on display is infectious. Everyone who goes will have the best time.
“On the night there will be a two course meal along with our DJ pumping out great music. By popular demand, the photobooth will take hundreds of pictures if our last ball is anything to go on.
“Last year we had just over 115 people attend our ball and this year we are hoping 150 will be in attendance,” he said.
“The ball is a fabulous way for everyone in the community to come together and remember that Christmas is a time of love and joy and that is what the ball tries to achieve.”
Tickets are $40 and available from Port Panthers up until Tuesday December 12.
