Dozens of singers from around the region and across NSW will be joining the Choristers on stage in a massed choir to present this timeless choral work.
And it’s not too late to register for a place in the massed choir. To register your interest, go to www.ticketebo.com.au/hastings-choristers/sing-along-messiah.html
All the popular Messiah choruses will be sung, as well as some of the lesser known choruses, and the audience will be invited to sing along with the massed choir, a Choristers’ spokesperson said.
“The words will be provided on the day but audience members may wish to bring along their own copies of the Messiah score to sing along.
“The talented Sydney organist Heather Moen-Boyd has performed in Port Macquarie a number of times before and she’ll be here again this year to accompany the massed choir. Fortunately, she will be playing the church’s beautiful organ.
“It has been a long time since we’ve had a sing-along Messiah in the Hastings.
“You can make the most of this opportunity to sing in the Christmas season by getting your ticket from the Glasshouse box office or from the church door half an hour before the concert starts.”
The concert is at St Agnes Church in Hay Street Port Macquarie, on Sunday November 26 at 2pm.
