Touch football players took part in the fourth annual Luke O’Neill Memorial Charity Shield Day to remember Luke who tragically passed away in 2013.
Team nominations co-ordinator Bec Faddy said there were 21 teams which participated in 2017 – with the focus on fun rather than results.
Team numbers increased from 16 in 2016 to 21.
Faddy said it was an opportunity for community spirit to shine through.
“It’s an occasion where everyone from the community can support everyone else in a fun environment,” she said.
“It was a sport Luke loved.”
There was a variety of other activities for entertainment.
