NSW Industrial Relations is hosting the workshops across NSW.
There are two workshops planned for Panthers Port Macquarie on Wednesday November 15, from 9.30am until 10.30am and 11.30am until 12.30pm.
The workshops are part of a package of education measures, including a hotline and web-based information sessions for staff and employers.
The Boxing Day reforms provide retail workers with the choice to work on December 26.
A two-year trial found clear support for unrestricted Boxing Day trade across NSW, allowing businesses outside Sydney’s CBD the option to open their doors on December 26.
New laws provide strict safeguards to protect workers, with retailers who force staff to work on Boxing Day facing fines of up to $11,000 per employee.
Penalties of up to $22,000 will apply for landlords that force tenants to open on Boxing Day.
