LAKE Cathie Public School was one of over 2,700 schools across the country to invited emergency services to their school for the Day for Daniel event.
It was to support the Daniel Morcombe Foundation and is a great way to promote the important role of emergency crews in the community, while raising funds for the worthy cause.
Police, fire, ambulance and SES visited the school on October 19 and the kids embraced the chance to look at the trucks, hear about the work they do.
Students wore red for a gold coin donation, with all money raised going to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
Day for Daniel is Australia's largest child safety awareness and education day with a goal to make Australia a safe place for all children.
