Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s general manager Craig Swift-McNair confirmed interviews for the director’s position had occurred on October 13 and the council was still working through those applications.

It comes after development and environment director Matt Rogers tendered his resignation.

Mr Rogers will finish up with the council in late October.

The council’s development and environment division covers development assessment, environmental services, recreation and buildings, and regulatory services.
