MARG arrived in Port Macquarie from Victoria in 1979 for a holiday. She loved it so much, she decided to stay.
“We have been here ever since,” the Mrs York’s Garden volunteer said.
“We love the country atmosphere when we first arrived, and I do like how the town has developed. It’s busy during the holiday period and I find more and more people are coming for a visit and staying permanently.”
