The best under-16 cricketers between Newcastle and the Queensland border will be on show at Wayne Richards Park on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Humphreys and Cook are then both expected to make their Mid North Coast Premier League cricket debuts for Port Pirates on Saturday.
Humphreys is a batting all-rounder who bowls sharp medium pace while Cook is a talented off spinner.
Mitch Korn and Jared Prosper from Macleay are also part of the North Coast Zone team.
North Coast will provide a stern test for the city boys with fast bowlers Caelan Maladay (Ballina) and Aidan Cahill (Grafton) as quick as most of the fast bowlers in the Mid North Coast Premier League competition.
The action starts at 11.30am on Tuesday and 9.30am on Wednesday.
