Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking community feedback on a playground design for the upgrade of Laurieton Oval (or Vince Inmon Oval Playground) in Castle Street, Laurieton.

New features for the playground will include a new platform with slide, asphalt bike/scooter track, timber boats and an interactive timber bridge with sound bells.
The aim of the upgrade includes the addition of natural play elements, diversity of equipment, and more shade and seating.
The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council maintains 66 playgrounds across the municipality. Laura Place Reserve, Laura Place in Lakewood is also scheduled for an upgrade in the 2017/2018 operational plan.
A Port Macquarie-Hastings Council spokesperson said about $80,000 had been allocated for each playground project in the Camden Haven.
