The council report gives a rundown of projects, activities and achievements across the local government area from beach safety education to extra library resources, road projects, footpath construction and playground replacement.

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council noted the six monthly delivery program 2013-2017 progress report from January to June 2017.

The report went before the September 20 council meeting.

Cr Peter Alley commended staff on an excellent report.

He said it was very easy to lose sight of the range of things delivered in such a broad organisation.

“It’s great to see a summary like that,” Cr Alley said.

Deputy mayor Cr Lisa Intemann stressed the importance of the report, which she said showed the breadth of what the council did.

“If anybody wanted to know more about what council did, they would just read these seven or eight pages here and have a much better grasp of the breadth of our activities,” she said.

The report gives information on the actions, activities and projects and outlines achievements against set objectives.

The report shows project progress in Wauchope and rural areas, Laurieton/Camden Haven and Port Macquarie.

The document also contains a progress report summary by focus area with result statements and achievement highlights.
