Miss Crystal Belle, who loves dressing up in vintage clothing, has got through to the finals of Pinup Doll Australia.
“I have chosen Sirens of Silence as my charity to support and raise funds for as I have a very personal connection with it,” she said.
Sirens of Silence support all emergency service personnel within Australia which include paramedics, police, firefighters and Triple Zero communications officers. They strive to raise awareness of anxiety, depression, PTSD and suicide prevention.
“My personal connection stems from my relationships with lots of people. My fiancé is the captain at Fire and Rescue NSW, Wauchope 492 Fire Station,” said Crystal.
“My best friend, Andrew Carroll takes the Deputy Captain position at the same station and I have man family and friends who work for many emergency services.
“These people work some of the toughest jobs where they witness some gruesome scenes, work hard and put their best efforts in. Unfortunately, these jobs are unavoidable and the people who fill these jobs will willingly put themselves before others.
“These everyday heroes strive to keep their promise – to respond, regardless of who the person in need is or the unknown risks that may await. They put themselves forward and give their best when the situation is at its worst.
“It’s a heavy burden to hold onto all the hurting, and when they can’t unsee what they have seen, they can turn to Sirens of Silence for assistance and support from people who know exactly what they are experiencing.” she added.
