The bus will be at the corner of William and Horton Streets from 3.30pm.
The road trip is to undertake high visibility campaigning in support of the ‘YES’ vote in the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ postal survey.
With ballots being sent out from this week, the timing of this trip is to ensure ballots are correctly completed and promptly returned.
“Too many ballots will sit on kitchen benches or be recycled, so it is important people take action soon after they are received,” organisers said.
“A key driver for putting a regional focus on marriage equality campaigning is to reinforce the fact that this vote is not just a matter for inner city Sydney and Melbourne.
“The campaign has already had significant negative harmful material spread and this only contributes to young LGBTI Australians feeling isolated and hurt. This road trip is to make sure people in regional areas don’t feel isolated and remind them they are not alone.”
