The fund provides financial assistance to young local residents selected to attend high-level sporting competitions outside the local government area.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council approved the latest allocations at the August council meeting.
Swimmer Morgan Jean was granted $350 to assist with the expenses associated with the 2017 Pacific School Games in Adelaide in December.
Some $350 will go to the Wauchope High School’s Girls Rugby Team to assist with the travel and competition costs for the NSW CHS School State Rugby 7s Championships in Sydney.
Sam Cobourn has been granted $500 to assist with the expenses from the 14th World Wusu Championships in Russia in the sport of SANDA (Chinese Kung Fu Free-Fighting).
Some $150 will go to Mitchell Evans to help with costs associated with being a member of the Under 16s NSW Country Rugby Union team to compete at various locations during July and August.
Tamika Roach will receive $300 to assist with the expenses she incurred at the State Inter-Schools Dressage Championships, State Youth Dressage Championships and the State Pony Club Dressage Championships.
Annika Toohey has been granted $500 to assist with the expenses associated with competing as part of the NSW All Schools Girls Hockey Team at the Nationals – Pacific School Games at Adelaide in December.
