The event is on over two days on September 2 until September 3 and there will be free talks, taster classes and workshops at The Francis Retreat, Bonny Hills.
Families will enjoy a variety of events planned on Saturday beginning from midday. Younger children will have lots of room to run and enjoy kids’ yoga classes, nature play and other activities.
School-aged children can attend the ticketed classes on Saturday for free with a paying adult.
Organiser of Ekam Yoga Festival Denis Juelicher said she always intended for Ekam to be a gathering of the entire community.
“We are thrilled that our new location allows us the space to make Ekam Yoga Festival available to families and the wider community,” she said,
“It’s an opportunity to slow down and spend time together in a beautiful natural setting.”
The festival runs from midday on Saturday, September 2 and 9am until 4.30pm on Sunday, September 3.
Presenters will provide talks about healthy eating and free taster yoga classes. Everyone is invited to participate. People are asked to bring a mat or towel.

The Natural Health and Living Expo is free and open during the entire festival.
Denis said it’s an opportunity to explore how people can feel better through natural therapies by talking to an alternative health professional.
People can also visit the Red Tent – Ngurra Barrang to explore humans’ connection to nature through language, breath and deep listening.
