A newly arrived cohort boosted international student numbers to 24.
The majority of the international students arrived for the session which started on July 10.
The students are drawn from America, Canada, China, Denmark, India, Nepal and Zimbabwe.
They are studying Bachelor of Accounting, Master of Information Technology and the Master of Professional Accounting.
Seven students are on international exchange programs.
Anurag Kharva, Tanvi Vahora and Neha Patel from India are among the international student cohort.
Anurag said Port Macquarie was a very good and quiet place.
“It is a very beautiful place to live and the Australian culture is beautiful,” the Master of Professional Accounting student said.
“I want a degree that’s recognised worldwide.
“After completing my degree, when I’m back in my country, this degree is very helpful to me.”
Neha, who received a scholarship, is also studying a Master of Professional Accounting.
She said there were benefits of living in a regional area surrounded by beaches.
"It is very friendly, the people are very helpful and I am very happy with it,” Neha said.
The location, environment, the place and the subject attracted Tanvi, a Master of Information Technology student, to CSU Port Macquarie Campus.
She said it was a great experience and hoped to increase her circle of friends.
CSU Port Macquarie’s Clara Koch said the international students brought some welcome diversity and added to all students’ experiences by raising awareness of different cultures, concepts and ideas.
“They are therefore adding to the international understanding of our students (and staff) which builds their education, skills and prepares them for the increasing global economy,” she said.
