The event is on Saturday August 5.
The board of TNS says a prospective and wait list form are currently available as part of the planned expansion.
“It is with great excitement that The Nature School is applying for school registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to open The Nature School Primary (TNS Primary) in Port Macquarie,” a spokesperson for the board said.
“The plan is to open this innovative and independent primary school in Term 1 2018 for kindergarten through to year 2.
“TNS Primary will then expand by progressively adding school years through to year 6.
“We will meet the NESA standards and teach to the Australian curriculum, with students being taught within a framework of exploration, innovation and having fun on the learning journey.”
The school will initially operate at the Lake Innes Community Centre on the Ruins Way until it finds a more permanent home.
The information session is at the Lake Innes Community Centre, Saturday August 5, from 10.30am until noon. Family groups are invited to bring a picnic to share or for your family following the meeting.
