The works will include the replenishment of rock in the Broadwater Canal system to prevent foreshore erosion, and are expected to be complete by mid-October 2017, weather permitting.
The Park Street car park will be closed throughout the duration of the works, acting as a temporary site office and storage facility for work crews.
Stockpiling of rock material will be positioned adjacent to the southern and northern lagoons to allow for ease of access and transportation of rock to nominated embankment areas where replenishment will take place.
Safety barricades and pedestrian signage will be in place as the works progress and move along the canal foreshore, with traffic control occurring at key times to ensure the safety of road users and work crews.
