'Tis the season to be celebrating the Camden Haven.
You're invited to Bold Street's Christmas in July event, Saturday July 22 from 2pm. This is the third time it has been on.
Hosted by the Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and volunteers have been working hard to create an event to banish the winter blues away.
Businesses in Bold Street are encouraged to decorate their shop front windows in a Christmas theme.
The Bold and Seymour Street intersection will be closed to traffic to make way for street stalls, entertainment and activities.
There will be plenty to eat, see and do with a visit from Santa. Princess Elsa and her best friend Olaf will also be making an appearance.
Stores will be open on the night and showcase their goods at the street stalls for you to check out.
Local up and coming country singer Emma Dykes will perform at the event.
If the mood takes you, why not take part in Santa’s conga line through the town.
Event organiser Peter Nash said the festival was a way to connect local businesses with the growing number of people who are moving to the Camden Haven.
“By having the street party it’s enabling people to come and see what is on offer,” he said.
The white Christmas theme is in stark contrast to the often hot conditions experienced on December 25.
“A lot of people are from overseas, they are used to the cold and the snow for Christmas so we give them the opportunity to experience it,” Mr Nash said.
