It will be her fourth run since having an operation after she showed promise with two previous wins and seven seconds in her first 21 starts.

The four-year-old mare, to be ridden by ace Port Macquarie jockey Peter Graham, is top-weight in the Winning Post Function Centre F & M Benchmark 55 Handicap over 1312m.

“She was very promising with form around Alart at her second start,” Prosser said.

Stop The Fight was bought for $5000 at the Magic Millions Sales because she was “a lovely, big, strong type.”

He syndicated ownership to “a few mates” and the mare, operated on at Coffs Harbour about eight months ago and has had no problems in her resuming three runs.

She was beaten in a photo finish by Newcastle trainer Kris Lees’ What A Sister over 1257m in Taree last start, which was her best run this campaign.

“The only query on Friday is the extra distance but she seems to be gaining fitness and confidence and is better for that run.

Her dangers appear to be Newcastle filly Roxette, trained by David Atkins, and six-year-old mare Can’t Skate from the local stable of Greg Drury, those two gallopers being less than a half-length from What A Sister in fifth and fourth place respectively on July 3.

Prosser also has a top chance with Salad Dodger in the Manning River Times 2YO Maiden Handicap over 1257m.

The Star Witness gelding has had two starts for a fourth and a second after being bought for $15,000 at the Classic Sales.

But it was that second, although beaten by four lengths over 1000m in Kempsey, which was promising as  Port’s Victorem then made it two in a row at the Grafton Cup Carnival last Thursday to frank the form.

“My horse (to be ridden by Belinda Hodder) hasn’t see a good track yet.

“His two runs have been good under the circumstances and he is over 17 hands and looking for firmer ground,” Prosser said.

The gelding’s dangers should come from Newcastle trainer Paul Perry’s Sausalito which was just over six lengths behind Siege Of Quebec on the Beaumont track last start.

The winner then scored again in Sydney on Saturday, and Play Now, trained by Lees, had four trials before its fifth at Newcastle.

Lees is in scintillating form, having had three wins from three starters at Taree on July 3.

Prosser and Graham combine with last start heavily-backed Rocket Monkey ($4.20 to $2.50) in the Prime 7 News Benchmark 55 Handicap over 1312m.

“Last start he no sooner hit the front, he was gone at Kempsey.

“He had two hard runs on heavy tracks and it obviously took a lot out of him.

“He couldn’t pick his feet up…it was a forgive run as he has done well since,” Prosser said.

It will be interesting to see what salutes in the Taree Cup Calcutta Dinner – August 18 Benchmark 64 Handicap over 2018m as some of them will be on trial for the  $80,000 Taree Cup Showcase over 2000m on August 20.
