Mr Smith will speak at the Climate Change Australia Hastings networking evening about 'how come we know that we are facing disaster of our own making but fail to take effective action?'

The talk will cover how our values and the way our society is set up in the west, and particularly the English speaking world, are failing us. 

He will present an overview of cultural forces at play, how they interact and how they reinforce each other to produce the situation we are in today.

However, all is not lost as there is some good news of late.

The Climate Change Australia Hastings networking evening is open to everyone.

The networking evening will be at the CWA rooms in Horton Street from 5.30pm on June 28.

A gold coin donation at the door will cover the cost of hiring the room.
