THINGS are falling into place for the Port Pirates despite suffering a loss on Saturday afternoon.
Grafton scored late in the game to secure the victory, and Pirates coach Chris Young said his team were the better side for much of the game.
“It was a vast improvement on our last couple of weeks. We’re moving in the right direction,” he said.
“It’s a log jam in fourth spot but as long as we keep progressing we should be ok.”
The loss of concentration at key times in the game hurt the Pirates, but they remain optimistic moving forward.
“We’ve been trying to chip away at a few things and have picked up areas we were poor, but dropped off in areas we are usually strong at, so we need to put in a complete performance,” Young said.
