The 30-strong voices of Cantorus male and female choir and female ensemble Cantabile with musical direction by Robyn Ryan, OAM, will chase away any winter blues with their beautiful harmonies and emotional vocals.
The program will take you Somewhere Over the Rainbow as you contemplate what might the world be like When I’m 64. It might have been The Longest Time since you have sung along with some these classics.
As you get In The Mood, Glenn Moore’s jazz musos, all from the teaching profession, will serve up some mainstream jazz with a mix of instrumental and vocal standards including There Will Never Be Another You and Party Time.
The guys have played together for more than 20 years, with regular appearances at the Bago Vineyards Jazz in the Vines, and many other popular venues.
Local music teacher and clarinettist Carol Irving will accompany the 12 ladies of Cantabile, and introduce her SCAS saxophone ensemble who will keep you swaying with their Swinging Medley.
If you can say I’ve Got Rhythm and love Blue Skies, drop by the Hastings Room at The Wesport Club for a little more than hour of great entertainment from 6pm on Thursday.
Tickets are adults $20, children $10 from the Glasshouse or at the door.
