People teed off in a charity golf day at Emerald Downs Golf Course on June 17 to help raise money for non-profit organisation Make a Difference (M.A.D).
The vehicle will provide a mobile laundry service for the homeless from Taree to Kempsey.
Erin Denham said local support from the community has helped to raise about $43,000 for the cause. A total of $100,000 is needed to get the mobile laundry service on the road for the area’s homeless.
Adenbrook Homes was the corporate sponsor of the charity golf day.
Ramsay Health Care has also come on board as the corporate sponsor of a jazz fundraiser.
Make a Difference with Jazz is at Bago Vineyards from 10am on July 9.
Big Band Theory, Blu Hypothesis and Dinner with Milton will provide the musical entertainment.
The $10 entry fee is payable at the gate.
On July 21 Bills Fish House will host a charity dinner to support Make A Difference.
A three course dinner and drinks costs $145 per person and there will also an auction to support the charity.
