The event gets underway at 1pm and you can bid for a feed of fresh, quality local fish.
The event is on at the Lake Cathie Bowling Club and the charity fish auction is organised and hosted by the Lake Cathie Amateur Fishing Club.
The club has used the event to raise funds in the form of a fish auction for the last 30 or more years. All proceeds from the day are donated to the Lake Cathie Rural Fire Service and Laurieton Marine Rescue.
Organisers say potential bidders can expect to see around 250 local fishermen/fisherwomen and young anglers donating their weekend time, often with no sleep, catching many species like bream, flathead, snapper, jewfish, blackfish, whiting, tailor, leather jacket and perl perch.
Fishing is open to anyone that would like to donate their catch, entry is free for everyone.
All fish must be at the weigh in area by 11am Sunday, where it will stay on ice until the bidding begins promptly at 1pm.
Some of the prizes and raffles up for grabs include quality donations from various local business and three accommodation packages.
There will be sausage sizzle, raffles and entertainment.
Our auctioneer, Chris Perry will be entertaining you with his fun and energetic auction skills so don't be shy its a friendly atmosphere with affordable (some might say cheap) fish to be snapped up.
