Along with guest performers, the music exchange also welcomes musicians to step up and have a go at the Open Mic at 7pm. Get in early if you want to perform two numbers by putting your name on the board and secure your place – six places only.
Blokes Notes have been inflicting their vocal prowess on audiences willing and unwilling throughout the Hastings/Camden Haven and beyond since 2009.
Responses have varied from shock to rapture, but they are yet to face indifference.
Returning to Kendall Music Exchange on June 2 with a program that may make you whimsical, nostalgic, inspired, furious, embarrassed and completely at a loss, possibly all in the same song. If you enjoy a’Capella singing in the base clef, have a secret thing for beards or simply revel in the spectacle of a bunch of blokes all trying to march with the same foot first, then you should come along.
Kendall Community Hall doors open at 6.30pm. Three performers will be on the open stage from 7pm, followed by Bloke’s Notes Part 1, tea/coffee and nibbles provided and then the second three open mic performers followed by Bloke’s Notes Part 2. Bring your instrument and do a couple of numbers during our open session or just come along to enjoy the show.
Entry is by donation and Kendall Music Exchange operates as a not for profit community activity.
Looking back – What a geat evening’s entertainment was offered by CHUMS, led by Khristina Joy, with a toe tapping selection of songs and skilful ukulele playing, comedy and an exciting selection of music.
Looking forward – Make sure you note in your diary Friday 7th July when we welcome Terry Memory as our main performer. See you then.
