The Easter Bonny Hills artists @ the surf club art exhibition was realised a substantial donation to the Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club.

The presentation of the proceeds was on Saturday.

Artists, Kim Madden, Lyn Thomas and Jan Wilson handed over the cheque to surf club president Peter Smith.

The exhibition was from April 12 until April 19 and was used to showcase the works of 12 local artists.

This is the second exhibition at the surf club and the 2018 is already being planned.

The works featured the diverse and unique skills of the local group of artists.

Surf club president Peter Smith said the art exhibition was a fantastic event.

“Any event that involves the surf club and our community is always good,” he said.

“The money will be used for the maintenance and purchase of life saving equipment.”

Kim Madden said the exhibition was a great success.

“We are looking forward to next year’s exhibition and we would like to thank the surf club for hosting this exhibition.

“It is a wonderful venue.”
