“Orchids are very appealing. They are not difficult to grow as long as you treat them right and give them tender loving care, but not kill them with kindness,” he explained.
Wayne Stephensen, who’s been growing orchids for 40 years, was the most successful exhibitor at the show which attracted 500 visitors.
“You find a spot in the orchid house where the orchid is happy and leave it there and if you take it out for the shows, you bring it back to the same spot,” he said.
