KEN Sands, Mal Revell and Ada Vinaksol took home the division four team NSW Country Championship title on May 6 and 7 at Gosford.

The Port Macquarie Table Tennis Club trio played well in the five-match round-robin competition, registering the best results for the club.

Earlier this year, Sands defended his title in the NSW Veterans Closed Championships where he won both the over-75 and over-80 men’s singles.

He finished runner-up in the over-70 mixed doubles.

The division two team of Murray MacPherson, Shane Thomson and Marcus Wei finished in third place after a countback when three teams finished on equal points.

In total on the Central Coast, the Port Macquarie club took six teams with the division two effort the best of the weekend.
