A WAUCHOPE man has been charged with drug offences after being stopped by police in Port Macquarie on Sunday.

About 10.15pm on Sunday, April 30, police from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command were patrolling the intersection of Clifton and Hastings River Drive, Port Macquarie.
They observed a man walking north on Clifton Drive and when approached, allegedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or another drug.
Police allege that after a search they found approximately four grams of methylamphetamine and over seven grams of cannabis.
The 40-year-old man was already on bail for other offences.
He was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, deem supply a prohibited drug and breaching bail.
He was refused bail to appear at the Port Macquarie Local Court on May 1, 2017.
